Feeling Great!

The theme word for today was accomplishment. With the prayer focus being breaking addictions, I spent a good deal in time about mine! Some of mine are blatant and others more subtle, but I still want a life that uncluttered by a focus on anything but the Lord. I am actually physically FEELING the power of prayer, and I especially felt it today. I know of several friends and family members who are praying for me daily.....I so appreciate it, and the healing is happening! I felt tremendous peace today, my stomach settled down - possibly because I avoided beans! - and I got things done for my job search, had a fantastic workout at the gym, spent time with the buddies at bible study tonight, and even did some reading and inquired about some volunteer opportunities.

With regard to the fast, I think I'm feeling better physically for three reasons. First, my stomach is getting used to the food I'm giving it. Second, I tried to eat things that would be easier to digest, like the smoothie and couscous salad. The soup I made is a tad on the spicy side and I think it's affecting my stomach. Third, I'm not sure I was drinking enough water, so my water intake has been super high today and I think it's affecting a number of the physical things positively. I need to remember that tomorrow.

There are three of us living in this house, I'm living with my dear friend Ramona and her granddaughter. I hope you'll pray for Ramona and Jessica as well as me, Jessica is attending school at Georgia Tech and she has also picked up some volunteer work, and I think the stress of all of it is a real challenge for her, so just remember her as well, please.

Tomorrow is Day 7 - I will be 1/3 of the way through! I've kind of surprised myself at my resolve, but it's going really well. I really want to be successful in this to deepen my walk with God, so straying has not been a temptation. The theme is Feed on the Word, and the prayer focus is Finances and Prosperity. Well, as you know, I'm jobless right now, so tomorrow's focus is one the MAIN reasons I'm doing this fast. So please pray for God to loose that job for me soon!
